Air conditioning service in Tulum
Filters, evaporator and condenser washed, drain cleared, electrics checked. Priced per unit, at your home, nothing for you to move.
What the service covers
The same routine on every unit. Not a quick blow through the filter: opening it up, washing it out and checking what keeps it cooling instead of leaking.
- Filters, evaporator and condenser washed
- Drain line and condensate tray cleared
- Pressures and electrical condition checked
- Refrigerant charge checked
- A photo report of each unit, before and after

Why is Tulum different?
Here the air conditioning never gets a rest. In most cities a unit works three or four months a year; in Tulum it works almost all of them, and in this humidity the evaporator stays wet. That constant damp is what turns filter dust into a layer you can no longer shake off.
Add the salt air if you are near the coast: it eats at the condenser fins, the part that dumps the heat outside. Once those fins clog the unit still runs, but it cools less and draws more — and the bill goes up before anyone notices something is wrong.
Then there is the drain. A blocked tray gives no warning: it drips down the wall, stains the render, and by the time the damp shows the job is no longer an air conditioning job but a building one.
Twice a year. That is what keeps a unit cooling evenly and stops the condenser arriving at summer already clogged — the worst possible time to lose your air conditioning.
Preventive maintenance, per unit and not per visit. A refrigerant recharge is $300 more; corrective work —a leak, a re-sleeve, a capacitor or an electrical fault— is $1,200 plus parts, with the preventive clean already included. Central systems and anything above 2 tons are quoted separately.
Frequently asked
Is the price per unit or per visit?
Per unit. Three minisplits means three units; the visit is not charged on top.
How long does it take?
About an hour per unit. If the unit has been neglected, or something turns up along the way, it can take longer.
Is the refrigerant top-up included?
No. The $600 covers preventive maintenance. If the unit turns out to need refrigerant, that is $300 more and we tell you before going ahead: you will never see a charge you did not approve.
What if the unit has a fault, not just dirt?
That is corrective work: a leak, a re-sleeve, a fuse or a capacitor. It is $1,200 plus whatever parts it takes, and the preventive clean is already included. When the fault is in the control board we will tell you straight: in most of those cases replacing the unit beats repairing it, and we would rather lose the repair than charge you for one that will not last.
Do you service central systems?
Yes. A central system is a different job — more time and more access — so it is quoted separately by capacity.
Do I need to be home?
Someone has to let us into the rooms where the units are and to the condenser outside. It does not have to be you.
Do you issue invoices?
Yes, on every service. We are a registered company and the crew is insured.
